Wind Tunnel Laboratory
A wind tunnel is an essential part, a key element, of an aerodynamics research laboratory. Six or seven universities have wind tunnels, but our university has the largest wind tunnel among foundation universities. Here, aeronautical engineers can analyze aircraft components and conduct aerodynamic tests. This can be done not only experimentally but also theoretically using computer-aided CFD analysis. However, the two must validate each other. Therefore, a wind tunnel is essential in fields such as aviation, shipping, mechatronics, machinery, and automotive.
