LET'S LIST THE DUTIES OF OUR COORDINATOR'S OFFICE:
 
1.Establishment of New Laboratories
 
2. Appointment of Responsible Person to Laboratories
 
3. Controlling the Counting of Laboratories' Fixed Materials
 
4. Ensuring that Laboratory Fixtures are Delivered to Laboratory Supervisors with Debit Reports
 
5. Carrying out the process of purchasing equipment / consumables for laboratories. Follow-up of the requests received by our Coordination Office by filling out the 'Laboratory Material Purchasing Form' via Ebys.
 
6. Fixtures that malfunction in laboratories must be filled in via the 'Laboratory Malfunction Detection Form' in 'ebys'. It is being monitored by our Coordination Office.
 
7. Waste Management
 
8. Checking Laboratory Instruction and Warning Signs in Compliance with the OHS Regulations and Ensuring that Necessary Precautions are Taken.

Summary of Work Done During the Year
 
1. Laboratory/workshop lists are updated at the beginning of each semester.
 
2. At the beginning of each semester, laboratory/workshop lists are sent to the Directorate/Dean's Office, and a list of our responsible professors is requested. Appointment letters are sent to our laboratory supervisors from EBYS and are processed in Gelsis.
 
3. At the beginning of each semester, laboratory managers are asked to update the inventory, consumables and deposit records.

The forms written above are prepared by the instructors/technicians in charge of the laboratory and submitted to our coordinator. It is stored both digitally and in folders in the Research Laboratories Coordinator's office.
 
5. When a device malfunctions in laboratories, the "Laboratory Malfunction Detection Form" in EBYS is filled out. After confirmation by us, the Purchasing Unit and Support Service regarding the malfunction. The unit contacts the company.
 
6. When it is necessary to borrow fixtures and/or consumables from laboratories, it is written in the delivery report, the delivered personnel and the unit manager of the personnel sign and a copy is delivered to them. When it comes back, the delivery date is recorded in the same report and the file is closed.
 
7. MSDS (material safety data sheet) information of all chemicals and hazardous substances in laboratories is requested from our laboratory supervisors and this information is shared with the Occupational Safety Specialist. A copy of these MSDS is also requested to be kept in a folder in the laboratory.
 
8. The code information of the wastes coming out of the laboratories is requested from our laboratory responsible instructors and this information is shared with the Occupational Safety Specialist.
 
9. For laboratory usage requests, an appointment is made with our coordinator and the "Laboratory Usage Form" is filled out.
 
10. When students of our university want to work in the laboratory outside of class hours, they make an appointment with us in line with the approval of our laboratory manager and fill out the "Student Laboratory Use Form". Students' names, surnames, school numbers, phone numbers and ID numbers are recorded by us.
 
11. When our university professors are going to carry out a scientific study in the laboratory, an appointment is made according to the availability of the laboratory. The 'Project Working Form' that we have created for this is being filled out.
 
12. On the selection-promotion days, information on the lists of professors/technicians on duty for the laboratory promotion/tour is obtained from the Deanship/Directorate. This information is shared with the Public Relations and Promotion Directorate and coordination is ensured on promotional days.
 
13. During the semester, students and counselors from colleges and high schools are shown around the laboratories by the Public Relations and Promotion Directorate, and the necessary coordination is provided. Demo laboratory studies are planned and carried out with high school students.
 
14. During the semester, foreign students and counselors brought by the International Student Office are given a tour of the laboratories and information is provided.
 
15. For the delivery of the materials brought to the laboratories brought by the companies, the materials are received on the planned day and time by the instructor/technician in charge of the laboratory and a person from our unit, and a copy of the delivery note is filed by us.
 
16. Every year, at the beginning of the academic year, 'Laboratory Orientation' seminars are held for all faculties, colleges and vocational schools, including their individual administrative units, department / program heads and selected laboratory managers, and information is given about the functioning of the 'Laboratories Coordination Office'.
