Experimental Psychology Laboratory

Students will have the opportunity to practice and conduct research, using experimental research methods in the experimental sub-fields of psychology such as developmental psychology, cognitive psychology and experimental psychology, and will have the opportunity to observe by applying the experiments they learned theoretically in the courses. The validity and reliability of studies to be conducted on the basis of neuropsychology with the EEG device is high. There are four main parts in the Experimental Psychology Laboratory. The first is the EEG room where the EEG device is located. Neuropsychological experimental studies are carried out in the EEG room and the main purpose of the device is to record cognitive processes. It allows the recording and comparison of the mental reactions of those who are exposed to a stimulus or tasked with a neutral, unstimulated mind. Today, EEG device is frequently used in many laboratory in the field of psychology.
The second part of the laboratory is experiment rooms. The participants who come to the experiments in these areas are given tasks in certain experimental programs on the computer. The main goal here is to record the participants' reactions to the manipulated situation. In the third part of the laboratory, there is a meeting room where weekly laboratory meetings are planned, and in the last part, there is a waiting room where laboratory activities will be shared and participants will be
kept waiting between experiments.
