The Anthropometry Laboratory, which is one of the laboratories of Istanbul Gelisim University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, uses the latest system measurement equipment to teach students basic and advanced assessment measurements and measurement methods that they will use in their professional life after obtaining the title of Dietitian. The main ones are height measurement, body weight measurement, analysis of body composition by Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA), circumference and diameter measurements, skinfold thickness measurements, hand grip strength measurement and abdominal fat measurement, evaluation and interpretation in children and adults. Additionally, there are food replicas and food pyramid showing the portion sizes used in diet writing in order to create sensory perception for students. The anthropometry laboratory, which includes equipment such as indirect calorimetry and armbands, is well equipped and the equipment is updated and increased in line with scientific innovations.
